Just what we needed

Convenient size for necessity sewing.

I own this machine just for a couple of weeks, but it works as described. There are a few minor things, which I think such an expensive machine should do better, but the major functions are great, does the embroidery (so far I only used the preset ones) and does sew wonderfully. The minor bits are simple little things, such as screwing the feet or plates into place (very fiddly), not getting the threader to work with my big fingers. I just think there must be ways of inventing plates, which can be changed easily and quickly. It’s not a deal breaker, I still highly recommend the machine.

I’ve used an industrial walking foot machine for over 20 years commercially but sold my last one last year when retiring. I missed being able to do odd jobs without a machine so I’ve invested in the Singer HD. Apart from finding it very small and consequently fiddly to use, I’m getting used to it and am very happy to have it available for those little jobs I want to do around the home.
